Invited by Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Universidad De Castilla-La Mancha and Politécnico Do Porto, HUAS Party Secretary General Gu Zhengqi paid a visit to these three schools from June 11th to 18th.
At Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Mr. Gu Zhengqi and his delegation had a friendly exchange with the relevant staff members and reached an agreement on cooperation between each others in fields of academic research, teachers and students exchanging programs, teachers training programs and so on. HUAS delegation particularly visited Sports Department and had a close look at the teaching buildings, sports museum, gymnasium and swimming pool. Universidad Politécnica de Madrid also showed strong interest in HUAS Dragon Boat Race program and expressed the willingness to visit HUAS in the future.
At Universidad De Castilla-La Mancha, Gloria Jordán Giménez, head of Chinese Student Affair Office, on behalf of the school, extended warm welcome to Mr. Gu Zhengqi and his delegation. The two sides introduced to each other on school history and strengths.What is more, they also had a deep exchange on student exchange programs, bachelor-to-master programs and so on. Gloria Jordán Giménez said she planned to visit HUAS this year and hoped the two schools would establish a friendly cooperative relationship between each other. HUAS delegation particularly visited teaching buildings, international students accommodation and Confucious School at Universidad De Castilla-La Mancha. Headmaster of Confucious School, Xu Caixia, introduced the basic information of the school and expressed her willingness to establish a long-term cooperative relationship between the two schools.
At Politécnico Do Porto, Vice President Cristina Pinto da Silva extended warm welcome to Mr. Gu and his delegation. The two sides had a candid discussion on students training, master programs, PhD programs, studnets and teachers visiting programs, teachers training and so on. Cristina Pinto da Silva hoped the two schools would start to cooperate as soon as possible based on the agreement signed by two sides.
The Spain and Portugal tour was a reflection of the Belt and Road Initiative and it opened a new chapter for the cooperation between HUAS and universities from Spain and Portugal. Moreover, the tour strengthened the understanding between schools and helped establish good relationships between different sides, which broadened the horizon for HUAS in terms of co-schooling from an international perspective.
Deputy Director Qin Yonghui from College of Civil Engineering and Architecture at HUAS also visited the schools with Mr. Gu as a memeber of the delegation.
